DG Pocket Coach
Throw-form analysis tool that compares a recorded throw against real professional footage and returns feedback on each phase of the motion.
An iPhone app that analyses a slow-motion video of a throw and reports release angle, path, and power match against the flight numbers of the disc thrown.
The flow is: choose the disc and throw style, upload a slow-motion side-on clip trimmed to the throw, mark the disc in one mid-flight frame, and read back a power match, a release angle from anhyzer through flat to hyzer, a release path, a predicted early flight, and one thing to change next. Scoring against the selected mold's speed, glide, turn, and fade is the point: the same release reads differently on an overstable driver than on an understable midrange.
It deliberately stops at the disc. Reach-back, footwork, brace, and hip rotation are not scored, which separates it from full-body form analysers. No radar, sensor disc, or sticker is needed, 240 fps capture is recommended with 120 fps supported, and analysis runs on the phone using Apple's Vision framework, so clips are not uploaded and no account is created. ThrowLab describes its output as training estimates rather than launch-monitor measurements. Full analysis needs ThrowLab Pro at $4.99 a month or $39.99 a year after a three-day trial.
