A Norwegian disc-tagging service selling QR ID tags for recovering lost discs, paired with the Min Caddie app for bag advice.
A stick-on disc tracker paired to a phone app that sounds an alarm on demand to pinpoint a disc nearby.
The MeepMeep Pilot is a 48mm stick-on tracker weighing 7 grams that adheres to the underside of a standard disc. A free iOS and Android companion app sets off an alarm on any of up to five paired discs at a tap, at a stated range of up to 12 metres (40 feet) depending on battery level and obstructions, so it is built to pinpoint a disc already nearby rather than to track one across a course. Each tracker ships with three adhesive donuts and an alcohol wipe and runs on a CR2016 coin cell that is not supplied. The developer says the app follows CNIB accessibility guidance and works with screen readers.
MeepMeep has since carried the same tracking technology into item monitoring for senior living, which is what the company homepage now leads with. The disc golf collection and the companion app both remain in place, but the two Pilot packs, a single at $23.99 and a five-pack at $92.99, were listed as out of stock when this was checked.
